Web3: A New Way To Share The Live Experience.

King Youngblood cut our teeth as a band by focusing on making our live shows experiences, not just performances.

In 2023, we dipped our toes for the first time into Web3 minting a live version of our song too late, too soon (orchestral edition) as a digital collectible and it sold out! This inspired us to bring more people into the live experience of King Youngblood, even when they aren’t able to join us physically in person.

We are proud to announce “Unplugged & Orchestrated,” six songs performed live at The Crocodile in our home city of Seattle. Featuring a full string quartet, this set contains acoustic-forward flips of our most popular songs and songs that have only ever been heard live.

We’re releasing “Unplugged & Orchestrated” in a whole new way:

  • For each song, King Youngblood minted a digital collage via Zora which embodies liner notes, lyrics, and cover art.

  • These collages are available now for .00666 ETH (~$22) each; all sales support the expansion of KYB’s live experiences in 2024.

  • Collectors of these digital collages and of “too late, too soon (orchestral edition)” are invited to hang with Cameron on Zoom throughout August 2024 as he mixes each tune, shares insights on re-imagining songs through string arrangements, and tell the stories of the six songs chosen for this live album.

  • After all six songs are mixed & mastered, they will be minted on Web3 where they can be played and collected.

  • “Unplugged & Orchestrated” will be scheduled for release on streaming services amongst the other exciting King Youngblood releases coming in Fall 2024.

This release plan gives us the freedom to invite our fans into the experience of KYB live while still keeping on track for the next KYB LP dropping next year. This way we can be the most accessible to our fans, share personal moments in mixing sessions, and bring the music of King Youngblood to life in newly imagined possibilities. Add these sessions below to your calendar, we'd love you to join us.
